25 Halloween Trees that Will Convince You to Put Your Christmas Tree Up Today

I was browsing Instagram the other day and came across a hashtag that Blew. My. Mind. #halloweentrees. I was intrigued immediately. Are Halloween Trees really a thing? I knew instantly I had to get on board.

It turns out that spooky Halloween trees are, indeed, a thing. They've been around for a few years, but seem to become more popular each year. Now it seems like everyone is pulling out their artificial Christmas trees and getting into the (Halloween) holiday spirit.

After all, decorating your Christmas tree with some simple and inexpensive Halloween decorations is an easy way to make a big impact. And it's really fun!

1. Elegant Pink and Black Halloween Tree

I downsized and got rid of my Christmas Tree a couple of years ago, but I have a little more room in our new Nashville loft and I keep eyeing this pink tree on Amazon. I've always wanted a pink or white tree since I was a little girl visiting my Aunt's authentically mid-century modern house during the holidays.

Knowing I can use it for Halloween too (even though it's pink, not a traditional Halloween color) might finally convince me to click "Add to Cart."

I love the elegance of this tree with the Black and White pumpkins and vintage cameras as decorations. You could keep this tree up after Halloween too.

2. Simple White Spider Halloween Tree

Spread some sinister holiday cheer with this white tree that celebrates Fall and Halloween with some seasonal ornaments, a simple autumn leaf garland and a few spiders thrown in just to keep things scary.

3. Spooky Gold Halloween Tree

This gold tree could look shiny and elegant for Christmas, but I love the spooky vibes from the inclusion of spiders and the strategically placed hockey mask. It's a festive display with a spine-chilling aesthetic.

4. Simple Halloween Tree with Pumpkin Decorations

You don't have to spend a lot of money or create an elaborate tree to make a Halloween Tree. Simply put up your normal artificial Christmas Tree and decorate with faux pumpkins you can easily find at the dollar store. I love using the witch's hat at the top of the tree.

5. Nightmare Before Christmas Tree

Check out this creative Nightmare Before Christmas-themed Halloween tree. A regular Christmas tree becomes Halloween ready with a Jack Skellington doll wrapped around it. The silver and black ornaments can even be used at Christmas.

6. Little Shop of Horrors Halloween Tree

Nightmare Before Christmas isn't the only movie that makes a good theme for a Halloween Tree. This stunning monster pays homage to the movie Little Shop of Horrors.

6. Rustic Halloween Tree

Here's proof that the range of possible halloween tree decorations is limited only by your imagination. This rustic display definitely has a creepy vibe, but still fits in with the decor aesthetic of the whole home.

8. Disney-Themed Halloween Tree

A Halloween tree is a great way to show off a collection of similar items, such as the Mickey Mouse decorations featured on this tree. I also love the felt candy corn garlands here.

9. Vintage Mask Halloween Tree

This tree features something really scary: vintage masks from Halloween costumes in the 70s and 80s. After Halloween, all you have to do is remove the masks and other Halloween themed decor and you're left with a tree hung with traditional christmas ornaments that's ready for the rest of the holiday season.

10. Bat Wing Halloween Tree

A pair of costume bat wings provide a focal point for this spooky tree. Be sure and click through to see the Halloween themed bedroom where this tree resides! Your Halloween tree doesn't need to stay in your living room!

11. Halloween Ornament Tree

I have two of these ornament trees where I hang my mother's vintage Christmas ornaments every Christmas so I really love the idea of getting them out early to show off a collection of Halloween-themed vintage-style glass ornaments.

12. Table Top Halloween Ornament Tree

This tabletop ornament tree is halfway between a traditional ornament tree and a small Tabletop tree. It makes a beautiful backdrop for some simple seasonal lights and a collection of Halloween ornaments.

13. Minimal Ornament Tree

You don't need to have a large collection of ornaments to show off an ornament tree. This ornament tree has simple wooden disc ornaments to pair with the other Halloween decorations. You can make your own ornaments or buy a selection of ornaments to paint yourself.

14. Tabletop Tree Filled with Ornaments

This tabletop Christmas Tree really doesn't have anything specifically "Halloween" about it. Instead, it's been generously decorated with a variety of Christmas Ornaments in Halloween Colors such as orange, gold and black. It's both simple and elegant. The spooky accessories surrounding the tree convey the halloween spirit.

15. Small and Full Halloween Tree

Here's proof you can make a big impact with a small tree. This small faux tree is packed with ornaments and small pumpkin baskets and fits in beautifully with the Halloween-themed desk. Wouldn't it be fun to have this as your work area?

16. Small White Halloween Tree

Here's another small tree that makes a big impact. This white tree is beautifully decorated with Orange and Black ornaments and a plaid ribbon. Look how she uses a Halloween bucket as a tree stand. So cute!

17. Halloween Tree with Homemade Paper Decorations

This crowded tree proves that sometimes more is more. There's something to look at no matter where you eye lands. The best thing about this tree are the simple paper ornaments. You could make some similar ornaments for your tree with this free printable template.

18. Black and White Halloween Tree

You don't have to be stuck with orange and black as your color scheme for your Halloween Tree. This stylish tree uses a black and white palette to create a spooky and elegant mood.

19. Ribbon and Skull Halloween Tree

The black and white ribbon wrapping around this tree doesn't scream "Halloween." But paired with black and white Mexican skull ornaments, this ribbon helps tie the whole theme together. I love the skeleton dog underneath the tree.

20. Ceramic Halloween Tree

These vintage ceramic Christmas Trees have become popular once again over the last few years. Create your own Halloween version by painting a ceramic tree black and switching out the green and red lights for orange lights.

New this year: Michael's now sells a black tree with halloween lights so you don't have to DIY this project if you don't want.

21. Halloween Spider Tree

My husband hates spiders so he wouldn't enjoy this spooky Christmas tree turned spider's web. But I love this tree, which can be made quite easily with a spider and web decoration draped over it.

22. Skeleton Spider Web Tree

Spider webs are used to an especially spooky effect in this tree draped with fake skeletons. Check out the floating monster focal point of this tree.

23. The Witching Hour Halloween Tree

This tree looks so ornate but if you look closely, it's really just the perfect mix of really simple elements like pumpkin buckets and paper fall leaves. The witch's hat on top is tilted at the perfect rakish angle.

24. Spooky Jam-Packed Halloween Tree

This spooktacular affair is jam-packed with ornaments, ribbons, spiders, and skeleton while a creepy life-sized doll stands watch.

25. Halloween Extravaganza Tree

You could go with a simple and minimal tree or you can go all out, like this Halloween Extravaganza Tree. The tree is filled with unique and spooky decorations, like the bouncy eyes on this tree. This video shows how to make your own version of a tree like this one.
