Lately I’ve been loving how I can jazz up my workout at home with all these great YouTube workout videos I’ve been finding. I can just find a great video and one minute later, I’m trying out a new exercise routine.
\And these aren’t cheap, crappy videos either. These YouTube workout videos are professional videos that rival anything you’d find on a DVD (does anyone still use those?) or streaming service.

I’m not sure how Paula B has managed to fly under my radar for so long but about a month ago she started popping up in my Pinterest feed every day and so I had to check her out. Obviously, I’ve been under a rock somewhere. Paula has over 700 videos just for the over 50 woman on YouTube and a community of women who just love her. I promise that after you do this workout, you’ll be part of that community.

Yoga For Complete Beginners with Yoga With Adriene
I don’t know why anyone would ever need to subscribe to a yoga streaming service or buy a DVD (do people still do that?) when we have Yoga with Adriene. Soothing, helpful, and extremely compassionate to beginners, Adriene guides you through the yoga session so smoothly, you’ll actually lose track of time. You’re sure to find a video you like from her hundreds of selections, but if you’re a true yoga beginner like me, you’ll like this video. Adriene explains every move and walks you through the whole workout. You’ll be an expert by the time the video ends!
Full Body Yoga Workout | Weight Loss & Toning Mountain Bootcamp
Or maybe you’d prefer to imagine that you’re doing yoga on a mountaintop in Nepal? This is a challenging workout so I just sort of muddle along with it but the scenery alone will take you to a more relaxed mindset.

The title says Latin Dance workout but, trust me, it’s Zumba 😉 This is an easy Zumba class so it’s a great introduction but advanced folks may want a video that gives a bit more of a challenge. This 50-minute video provides a high energy workout that will leave you sweaty and smiling.

If you’re looking for a quick way to get your heart rate up for a few minutes, this 20-minute workout couldn’t be easier and really gets you moving.

Yeah, it’s only 3 something minutes long, but you’ll go through it a few times to learn the moves and then you’ll need to do it a few more times to let everyone at home see what you can do.

60 Minute Kickboxing
If a powerful sweaty workout is more your speed, you’ll love this 60 Minute Kickboxing class with trainer Jeanette Jenkins. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the moves are… intense. You can do it!
This workout in more gentle than kickboxing but equally intense. You can follow along with the barre workout with just a sturdy kitchen chair for support. This workout will kick – and shape! – your butt.
Pilates Full Body Workout with Ashley
If you want to tighten your core, you can’t do better than a Pilates workout. This 30-minute has lots of good tips on keeping your core tight while giving a great full body workout.
Best High Intensity Interval Training Workouts on YouTube
20 Minute High Intensity Interval Training Workout
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts can blast a ton of calories in a very short time and really help you lose fat. This video from FitnessBlender is a good 20-minute HIIT workout. You’ll need to provide your own music because there’s no music on this track but I prefer that to working out along with music I don’t really like. (Pro tip: Turn off the sound, on the video, blast the music, and just follow along with what he’s doing on screen.) An on-screen calorie counter lets you know how many calories you’re burning so you’ll be motivated to finish when the going gets hard.
Hip Hop Tabata Workout
This workout is challenging and fun. After a 5-minute warm up, Keaira LaShae breaks down each set of moves into 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off with a 30-second break after each set. This is really high-intensity but you can modify the cool hip-hop dance moves to be right for you.
KETTLEBELL HIIT CIRCUIT FOR FAT LOSS – 30 Minute Full Body Workout
If you’ve got a kettlebell, you can use it to ramp up those high-intensity interval workouts. Penny take you through 10 exercises that she repeats 3 times. Her timer in the corner shows you both what you’re currently doing and what’s coming up so you can prepare yourself for (or dread) what’s next.
Best YouTube Videos to Get Toned and Strong
You don’t have to focus only on cardio with at-home videos. This kettlebell workout by Bodyfit by Amy offers a full-body strength workout. The countdown timer lets you know how long to the end of the workout if you start losing your motivation when things get difficult. You can use a dumbbell if you don’t have a kettlebell.
Seven Minute Workout
Based on an article in the American College of Sports Medicine Health and Fitness Journal, this video gives you a complete full-body workout in a very uncomfortable seven minutes. But hey – at least it’s over fast!
